Pastor Rudy Shepard began his walk the the Lord when he was 12 years old. At the age of 18, he started his studies for the Ministry at Mt Olive College. After graduation, he became the Pastor of a small church in Lyman, NC named Lanier’s Chapel in part-time ministry. In 1975 he began our Church, Peace Baptist, in Wilmington NC. He is still our Pastor after 45 years! He has been the Lord’s faithful servant and, at 72 years old, he is going strong. He has seen may changes through the years. Children that he witnessed the birth of have grown up, gotten married, had children of their own, and now have grandchildren. Life as a Pastor has brought him much happiness and sorrow, but he would not trade it for any other way of life. He is a blessing to all of his congregation and community.
